Eight years of the blue AUTOZUG Sylt

More service on the mainland: Since October, the RDC customer centre of Norddeutsche Eisenbahn Niebüll has been offering services and booking options for the blue AUTOZUG Sylt.

In the birthday month of the blue AUTOZUG Sylt, the personal service offering on the mainland is being enhanced. From now on, the service and RDC customer team of Norddeutsche Eisenbahn Niebüll, located on Bahnhofsstraße, is available to all customers and passengers for information and ticket purchases regarding the blue AUTOZUG Sylt. Both companies are part of the RDC Deutschland group and are pooling their expertise to be even more accessible to their customers. "By relocating our Niebüll customer centre from Gather Land to Bahnhofsstraße, we can better reach our passengers. The customer centre located at Niebüll station thus offers the best access opportunities," says Torge Nielsen, Managing Director of RDC AUTOZUG Sylt.

…by the way

On 18 October 2016, the blue AUTOZUG Sylt made its inaugural journey across the Hindenburg Dam. At that time, the private company, which is part of the RDC Deutschland group, started with four daily journeys. Eight years later, up to 26 journeys are offered, 365 days a year, and it is no longer limited to cars and small vans. Vehicles transported include cars, SUVs, vans, motorhomes of all kinds (up to 10m in length), heavy lorries, trucks, buses, as well as vehicles with trailers or caravans. The personal and service-oriented customer contact has become deeply rooted. With its own booking platform, the company offers excellent digital service at https://www.autozug-sylt.de/. The blue AUTOZUG Sylt has also established itself as a regional partner and employer. The company employs around 100 staff. On the island, the blue AUTOZUG Sylt supports various sustainable projects, including "Sylt Cleans Up" and the "Revolution Train" project. Sporting events such as the RDC Catamaran Festival, SC Weiche Flensburg 08, and the cycling team Rynkeby are also sponsored.
