Niebüll – Dagebüll

The approximately 13-kilometre long route was completed in 2024 with energy efficiency, modernity, passenger-friendliness, and service orientation in mind. Modern lighting in energy-efficient LED design, a closed waiting area with seating in Dagebüll, and an improved passenger information system are among the highlights. Passengers, holidaymakers, commuters, residents, and industry partners are thus well connected.

Since 2002, we have been providing cross-border connections all the way to Tønder, Denmark. The approximately 13 km long section of the international railway line from Niebüll to Tønder is served by the RB 66 line; furthermore, the infrastructure up to the federal border at Süderau is part of the portfolio of the Railroad Development Corporation. At the federal border, the line connects to the infrastructure of Banedanmark and continues from there to Tønder and on to Esbjerg in Denmark.
